Artificial Pupal Cell (Chamber)
When it comes time for pupation, giving your beetles a proper space to transform is critical.
I usually use oasis floral foam blocks and carve out a chamber that matches the size of the pupa.
They prevent emergence failures, which are sadly common in natural substrate-based cells.
❌ Problems you might face with natural (substrate-made) pupal cells:
• The chamber might be too tight.
• The cell can collapse easily.
• There’s a risk of suffocation if airflow is poor.
