Made from 100% natural pine, these Compressed Pine Pellets are an excellent bedding option for insect keeping. Pine naturally contains terpenes a compound known for its strong pest-repelling properties, particularly effective against mites. 
Originally produced by plants to defend themselves, terpenes also provide powerful deodorizing and antibacterial effects.

These pellets efficiently absorb adult insect frass, helping maintain a clean and hygienic environment. When exposed to moisture, they expand up to 2–3 times their original size, meaning only a small amount is needed. A light misting during the initial setup is sufficient—no further moisture control is typically required.

Bedding replacement varies depending on the species and feces levels, but it’s recommended to change it when the pellets become muddy or overly moist.
